A Dad’s Ramblings

About

I’m 38 years old, dad to the best kid in the world, and husband to the most awesome woman. My wife and I have been married twelve years and our son is nine years old. We are very much into family activities which range from playing board games to hiking in the hills geocaching.

I coach my son’s soccer team, am his Den leader, and his Cubmaster for Cub Scouts. I also help design and maintain my Church’s Web Site, St. Paul’s, and am an Assistant Administrator for a great Dad’s forum, DaddyPlace. I do these things for my son and for my community.

I don’t preach to others, but am strong in my faith. I belong to the Episcopal Church, St. Paul’s, in Sparks, Nevada. God gave us a wonderful world and it’s up to us to make the best of it.

Currently I am an Operations Supervisor at a local geothermal power plant, that I have been at for twelve years. I’ve been in the power production field for eighteen years, starting with Naval Nuclear Power as a Machinist Mate (mechanical operator), then after leaving the navy starting work as a junior power plant operator and working my up into management at the geothermal power plant I work at now.
